Hello readers! I am someone who loves to snack, and I’ve always had a big sweet tooth. For many years, it was not uncommon for me to have stashes of chocolate and candy in my pantry. However, now that I am in my early thirties, I’ve decided to be more conscientious of the quantity of sugar I consume. Since last fall, I’ve stopped purchasing candy of any kind. If I don’t have it in the house, I can’t eat it! I’ve also been switching my sugary granola bars and cereals for healthier options. I recently discovered the Oatbox Double Choco Oat Bars, and I’m in love!
Oatbox is a Montreal based company that was established in 2014. I had never heard about them until recently, when I started browsing Healthy Planet for different snack options. The Oatbox Double Choco Oat Bars only contain 3g of sugar each. This is one of the lowest amounts of sugar I’ve ever seen a granola bar contain! They also contain 14% of the recommended daily value of fiber. The flavor of these bars reminds me of a healthy version of the Starbucks Oat Fudge Bar (a past guilty pleasure). There is absolutely no guilt to be had with the Oatbox bars. They only clock in at 90 calories each. In addition, they are organic, gluten-free, nut and peanut free, and preservative free!
Since I’ve reduced my sugar consumption, I’ve felt a big rise in my energy levels. I’m also very rarely bloated. There is nothing wrong with having a sweet treat once in a while. However, I believe it is important to be aware of the quantities of sugar we consume in our daily snacks. We might be surprised! If you are looking for a healthier snack alternative, give the Oatbox bars a try.
These sound really yummy and a great better alternative to a chocolate bar. Thank you for sharing.
