Spring 2021 Favorites

Hello and welcome to my Spring 2021 Favorites! I haven’t been testing out a ton of new products lately, as I am still working almost exclusively from home. Winter has came and went, and most of my favorite sweaters and cardigans have sat sadly in my closet without being worn at all. Strange times we are living in. I’ve been trying to be a little more extra for spring and getting ready more often. I’m all dressed up with nowhere to go… except the Tim Hortons Drive thru? Here are the three products I’ve been loving the most lately.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit

I purchased this palette (on sale!) a few months ago. I was running low on bronzer and thought the darker shades would work well for a shimmery bronze glow. Boy was I wrong! This is a highliting palette, and the shades are not meant to be used as bronzer (unless you are going for a Shimmer Queen look). They are VERY pigmented, and work best as a bronzer topper over a matte bronzer. That’s an extra step I don’t have time for. My solution has been to use the darker shades as eyeshadow. Tourmaline is gorgeous on my eyelids, and Moonstone is perfect for it’s intended purpose: highlighting. I’ve been reaching for these two over and over again.

Guerlain Paris L’Essentiel Foundation

I received a sample of the Guerlain Paris L’Essentiel foundation from Sephora with a recent order. The shade I received was definitely not a match for me, but working from home and not needing to be perfectly presentable made it the perfect time to try it out. The texture and finish of this foundation is just fabulous. I really believe it is one of the best foundations I’ve ever tried! It has luxurious, amazing coverage which lasts all day without creasing. I might buy the full size in the future, but it is quite expensive. Maybe once I go back to work in the office I’ll be able to justify it. You can bet your last dollar I stretched that little sample and got as many uses from it as possible, even thought it made my cool toned skin look yellow af!

Bath and Body Works Portofino Pink Prosecco Lotion

I received this as a gift from a friend in the States. I was beyond excited, since I haven’t been able to shop at Bath and Body often in the past year due to the on and off lockdowns. The fruity, woodsy scent and the pretty pink color are perfect for spring!
