I know I am way late to the bandwagon, but I still want to share my thoughts on the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte foundation. This is by far the best matte foundation I’ve ever tried. It definitely has a peach of my heart!
Originally, I purchased the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte foundation because it was on sale, and it had great reviews on Sephora’s website. I was excited to see what the hype was all about. This foundation claims to deliver a natural, velvet matte finish, control oils, be transfer free, and last for 14 hours. Some matte foundations can appear cakey or unnatural, but this is not the case for the Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation. The finish is a velvety medium coverage, and not at all cakey. I layer this foundation with a bit of concealer under my eyes, and in any problem spots. To finish off, I add a layer of translucent setting powder. The foundation is quite comfortable to wear, and fares very well in hot weather. So far, there have been a few very warm spring days in my area (over 25 degrees Celcius), and I haven’t noticed any melting. I did notice a slight diminisment of the matte effect, but I’m ok with that.
As with other Too Faced sweet themed products, this foundation is scented. The lovely peach scent is very subtle. I only smell it on my makeup brush when I’m applying the foundation. You don’t have to worry about smelling like a peach from a mile away!
Overall, this foundation lives up to all the claims on the box, except for one: it is not transfer free. I noticed it definitely rubs off onto my tissue when I blow my nose (cursed allergy season!). However, this is a minor detail, and it won’t stop me from re-purchasing this gem again.
