I’ve been reading about the benefits of coffee in beauty products lately: the antioxidants can boots collagen levels and help fight signs of ageing. I’m in the thirties club now, so it’s time to start thinking about that. When I received this Masque Bar Coffee Hydro Eye Mask from my friend as a gift, I was way excited! I’m a HUGE coffee lover, so this is right up my alley. Would you believe that I’m actually sipping on a cup of joe as I write this post?
The Masque Bar Coffee Hydro Eye Mask was really fun to use. It was actually my first time using an eye mask (yes, I live under a rock sometimes). The mask patches contains real caffeine and coffee extract, which are supposed to help exfoliate the skin and reduce the look of puffiness under the eyes. Luckily, unless I’ve been crying a lot, puffiness under my eyes is not a concern for me. Nonetheless, I quite enjoyed this mask. The patches had a nice gel texture, and a subtle glitter sheen. They felt refreshing and soothing on my skin. My only complaint is that the gel patches were very slippery, so I really had to lay still to prevent them from sliding off my face. The coffee fragrance was subtle, so if you are not a coffee fan it won’t be overpowering for you.
I will be looking into trying more eye masks in the future. Sadly, I don’t use masks enough! What are some of your recommendations? Thanks for stopping by!
