Oil Perfumery Review: The Best Designer Perfume Oils

I’ll admit it, I am a perfume hoarder. I don’t stick to a signature scent, as I love changing my perfume depending on the season, my mood, or just because! I received a sample of Kilian’s Apple Brandy eau de parfum and instantly fell in love with the luxurious gourmand scent. It has a sexy, woodsy scent with delicious hints of apple. I wore this perfume during my first date with my boyfriend, so I was very interested in purchasing the full bottle to wear it again and again. However, Kilian is a luxury brand and quite pricey. I’m a thrifty gal, and spending hundreds of dollars on one bottle of perfume is out of the question for me. This is where Oil Perfumery’s designer perfume oils came in to save the day!

What is Oil Perfumery?

Oil Perfumery is a Las Vegas based company that creates perfume oil impressions of designer fragrances. Their perfume oils are produced in France and are alcohol-free, vegan and cruelty free. Oil Perfumery competes with designer brands and doesn’t use their fragrances. Therefore, they are not producing an exact copy of the scent but something inspired by it. There are dozens and dozens of designer impressions available, as well as some original scents. Oil Perfumery’s original Dream Fuel scent sounds divine. It’s notes include rose, berry, oud, patchouli and mandarin among a few others.

Are the Impressions any Good?

I purchased Oil Perfumery’s impression of Kilian’s Apple Brandy, and I will say the scent is definitely not an exact copy. Kilian’s Apple Brandy is more woodsy, whereas the sweet notes of apple are more prominent in Oil Perfumery’s impression. Oil Perfumery’s impression scent is close enough to remind me of the memories of my first date and it is definitely worth the major savings! I also purchased Oil Perfumery’s impression of Candy by Prada. I had a sample of Candy back in 2016 and I loved it. Oil Perfumery’s impression of Candy is delightful: a warm, sexy vanilla scent with musk and caramel notes.

How Much Product do you Receive?

Oil Perfumery’s fragrances come in a 10 ml glass bottle with a stainless steel ball roller for easy application. I love to pop the little bottle in my purse for a quick touchups. These 10 ml bottles are priced at the $22-$29 CAD range depending on the fragrance. I’ve been using both the Apple Brandy impression and the Candy impression quite often since I received my order last fall. As you can see from the pictures above, there is barely a dent in either of them! Oil Perfumery also offers larger 60 ml plastic bottles. These come with a complimentary 10 ml empty roller bottle and a pipette to allow you to fill the roller bottle. The 60 mL bottles are priced in the $96-$116 CAD range. I’m extremely satisfied with the scents, the cute and simple packaging and the price!
