Hello and welcome to my second Blogmas post! Today I’ll be sharing my favorite Christmas jams with you.Β
Christmas music is the icing on top of the magical Christmas cake. Sure, I love twinkling lights, glittery decorations, and sharing special moments with friends. However, in my opinion, the holidays are not complete without festive music. As Buddy the Elf says: “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.β So what are my favorite Christmas jams?Β
First and foremost, my absolute favorite Christmas album of all time is Christmas by Michael BublΓ© (2011). I’m sure I am not the only one who swoons over his smooth, sultry voice. This album brings me endless joy year after year.Β
Let it Snow by V.I.P. (2004) is my second favrite Christmas album. V.I.P. is a lesser known Canadian Acapella group. My Mom played this album very often when I was a child, and it definitely made an impression on me. I was amazed that there were no instruments used, only voices (with the exception of a few jingle bells). I’m not sure many people know about this band. After a little research, I found out they split up in 2004 after this album was releazed!
Finally, I’m also a big fan of some classic Christmas hits. Perry Como’s (There’s No Place Like) Home for the Holidays (1954) is cheery upbeat oldie. Another oldie favorite of mine is Happy Holidays/The Holiday Season by Andy Williams (1963). Happy holidays, happy holiiidaaaaays… Is it stuck in your head now? You’re welcome.Β
