Most days, I like to wear medium to full coverage foundation. However, there are days when less is best. Ciaté The Extraordinary BB Cream is perfect for light, barely there makeup days. Days when you’re looking for a little added touch to your skin, but still want to maintain a natural look.
I received this 7 mL size tube of Ciaté The Extraordinary BB Cream in a recent Ipsy bag. The adorable little tube reminds me of an icing tube. I apply a quarter size dollop to my beauty sponge and dab it on my forehead, nose, and cheeks before evenly blending it everywhere on my face. Ciaté The Extraordinary BB Cream provides a very sheer wash of color. It won’t hide blemishes, but it will give your skin a weightless sheen for a little added touch to your bare skin. The coverage is similar to a tinted moisturizer. This BB cream is great for minimal makeup days or beach days.
As I mentioned earlier, I prefer heavier foundation as opposed to sheer BB creams or tinted moisturizers, as my skin does have redness and occasional blemishes. Ciaté The Extraordinary BB Cream is not heavy enough to hide acne, rosacea or very dark circles. Personally, I like to layer it over concealer for added coverage instead of using it on it’s own.
After doing some digging, I cannot locate the Ciaté The Extraordinary BB Cream on Ciaté’s website. I wonder if it was an exclusive Ipsy soft launch? Only time will tell! The Ciaté website does have an Extraordinary Foundation which claims to be a buildable liquid foundation. I do enjoy other products from Ciaté, so I may eventually try their foundation.

Haha, the packaging does look like a little icing tube! It’s very cute. I have redness that I like to cover too, so if this isn’t heavy duty enough for that, then I’ll be giving it a miss. I’d love to use bb creams, but I don’t think they are full coverage enough for me xx

I haven’t used BB creams in years as I prefer fuller coverage foundations too. However, the BB cream does sound great for ‘no makeup’ makeup days. However, that’s weird it’s not on their website, and I had a look for myself and it does seem like for now you could only get it through Ipsy.
