Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Longwear Makeup Review

Hello lovely readers! I try to wear SPF on my face every single day, including during the winter months. I use a moisturizer with SPF 30. When I came across the Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Longwear Makeup foundation at the drugstore, I decided to give it a try. I figure using additional SPF in my foundation can’t hurt! The Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Longwear Makeup foundation has SPF 15. I have been using it for a few weeks now and wanted to share my thoughts. The shade I purchased is 110 Ivory.

This post is a collaboration with Cate, the author of Wizarding Beauty. We both reviewed a different drugstore foundation. You can go read her full review of the NYX Cosmetics Bare With Me Blur foundation here.

Price and Product Formula

First, I would like to mention the price. The Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Longwear Makeup foundation is priced at $18-$22 CAD for 30 mL, which is very reasonable for a drugstore foundation. This foundation is for combination/oily skin which is exactly my skin type. It provides medium coverage, and I apply it over my concealer. I was quite surprised by the consistency actually: it is thick but blends so effortlessly and melts into my skin! After applying it with a damn beauty sponge, I add a generous layer of loose setting powder before applying bronzer and highlight. I top everything off with the Sephora Collection All Day Makeup Setting Spray. My skin doesn’t get overly oily during the day. I normally have to dab my forehead and chin a little bit near the end of the day, but I do not need to reapply setting powder.

Does this Foundation Really Last 24 Hours?

The Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Longwear Makeup claims to last 24 hours. Does it really last that long? The short answer is: no. I have normally have my makeup on for 12-17 hours depending on my day. I did notice this foundation settles into my forehead lines after extended wear (15+ hours). For the first 10 hours, it doesn’t look cakey at all nor settle into fine lines around my eyes.

If you have combination/oily skin and are looking for a drugstore foundation containing SPF, I recommend trying the Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Longwear Makeup! Don’t forget to check out Cate’s review of the NYX Cosmetics Bare With Me Blur Foundation here. Thank you for stopping by!
