Celebrating my 28th Birthday in Montreal

Hi lovelies, how is everyone? I turned 28 this past weekend, and I spent my birthday sightseeing in Montreal with Simon. We stayed at a lovely Airbnb from Friday until Monday. The weather was perfect, and we had fun trying restaurants and pubs we’d never been to before. We both had never been to the top of Mont-Royal, and the view was breathtaking. I last spent a long weekend with Simon in Montreal in 2014 (see my post here), and quite a few things in the city have changed since then. The Old Port now has its own beach and Ferris wheel! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the trip:

New Ferris wheel at the Old Port
The Clocktower beach at the Old Port — I love the boardwalk.

The Bonsai trees at the Montreal Botanical Garden were adorable.

The botanical garden was peaceful and gorgeous.

The koi fish seemed to like having their picture taken — they would swim closer to the edge of the water when people passed by!

The greenhouses of the Botanical Garden had different themes. I liked this dessert theme.

The rose garden has over 1000 species of roses!
Here is the view from the top of the Olympic Tower. You can see Mont-Royal in the right corner.
Here is the stunning view from Mont-Royal!

Montreal has some really awesome murals. There was an art festival going on called Murale (I believe its still on until June 17), so more murals were being painted!

What’s your destination city for a long weekend getaway? Thank you for stopping by my blog! xo
