Hello friends! You might not know this, but I have some Irish blood in me. When I was little, my parents would take me and my sister to the St Patrick’s Day parade every year. Last year was the first St Patrick’s Day spent in my own house and I did absolutely nothing to celebrate… So this year I’ve decided to go all out! I put some decorations up two weeks ago (early, I know). I will also be baking some green themed treats (keep an eye out for those on my Instagram @meatballhead124). Today I want to show you how I made this simple and cute St Patrick’s Day banner.
Here are the materials I used:
The green and orange papers are from the scrapbooking section at Michael’s. The only item not pictured here are the glitter shamrocks I used for the last flag. I found them at Dollarama.
I started by cutting out six flags in the colors of the Irish flag.
These metallic Sharpies are awesome!! I practised my calligraphy skills to write out “lucky”. I used the glue gun to glue the glitter shamrocks on the last flag.
Using a hole punch I made holes at the top of each flag and strung them together with twine (also from Dollarama). I created a loop at each end to tape the banner to the celling.
This project was super fun and only took me under an hour to complete. Hope you are all having a fab weekend! xo
