Hello lovely readers! I purchased the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation in early spring. This foundation contains a comfort serum and claims to be full coverage, so I was really intrigued. I used it for about two weeks and really didn’t like it. It left my skin looking super shiny after only a few hours, even though I set it with a mattifying powder. My skin was very oily at the time, so I decided to set it aside and give it another try in the future. Fast forward a few months later, and my skin is now very dry from soaking up the sun all summer (and from too much benzoyl peroxide!). I decided it was a good time to try this foundation again. I can now say that I really enjoy it! The comfort serum really helps keep my dry skin soothed, and my face stays matte for a good 8 hours. The trick to applying this foundation is to follow the “less is more” rule: I get a much better result when I apply only a little bit in the areas I need to conceal, gently blending it in with my fingers. I use it more like a concealer than a foundation. When I apply it all over my face with a brush or a sponge, I find it feels a bit too heavy.
Have you tried the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation? Thanks for reading! xo
