Hi beauties! When I ran out of my Maybelline Fit Me powder a few weeks ago, I decided to try something new because my skin has been breaking out and generally acting up with winter’s dryness. As I was browsing the makeup aisle, the Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder caught my eye. I’ve heard good things about the Rimmel London Stay Matte range so I decided to give it a shot. I’ve been using it for a little while now and I’m really loving it! The first thing I want to mention is how huge the container is! It contains 14g of product, whereas the Maybelline Fit Me powder only has 7g. If I remember correctly both powders are a similar price so you’re definitely getting a better bargain with Rimmel! The is the first pressed powder I’ve used that is scented. It has a subtly clean scent which I find really fun. I’m very impressed with this powder’s staying power: it claims to keep your skin matte for five hours and it definitely goes beyond that. I do need to touch up after about 8-9 hours because my skin is oily, but my skin doesn’t look cakey when I apply more product.
The only downside to this powder is that the container doesn’t contain a mirror. The packaging isn’t super large and since it contains so much product there simply isn’t room for one! However, this isn’t a huge issue for me–how many mirrors does a girl really need? I usually do touch-ups in the restroom anyway!
