Hello dear readers! Today I wanted to talk about a topic I don’t normally discuss on my blog: mental health and keeping a positive mindset. It’s easy to get discouraged and stressed in our busy lives, and things don’t always go the way we plan. There are times when keeping a positive mindset seems very difficult. However it’s important to remember that although you can’t always control the situations you are faced with, you CAN always control your attitude. You can control your thoughts and be happy on purpose! It’s important not to let little things get to you. There are days when this is easier said than done, but I’ve learned that when I’m faced with a tough situation the best thing to do is focus on the positive things and cast my care onto God. When I’m having a bad day, spending a few quiet moments praying, reading motivational books or listening to motivational talks really helps me shake the negativity off. I thought it would be a nice idea to write down some of my favorite inspirational quotes so I could read them whenever I need a positive boost. I made a little poster using Bristol board, some markers and some flower cut-outs from the scrap-booking aisle at the craft store.
To keep a positive mindset, it’s important to always be thankful for what you do have instead of focusing on what you don’t have. Take the time to enjoy the small things! Notice the sunsets, listen to the birds singing and the wind rustling through the leaves. Try to see the beauty in everything. Wishing you all happiness and joy!!
