Hello everyone!! Here is a really quick post about my recent attempt to recreate the ever so popular galaxy nail design. Not too shabby if I say so myself π hahaha!!
To get this design, I started by giving my nails a black base coat. I used two coats of OPI’s “Light My Sapphire” (it’s actually a really deep navy, but shhhhh). Then I added patches of color to create the galaxy effect. I used a regular cleaning sponge (you can find these in craftsotres or hardware stores) and cut it up into little pieces. I painted the tip of the sponge piece and dabbed on the color in little circles. I used Essence’s “Choose Me!”, OPI’s “Strawberry Marguerita”, and Revlon’s “Gold Coin”. Then, as a finishing touch, I used 2 different sized dotting tools to create the stars, using OPI’s “Alpine Snow”.
The galaxy nail design is really easy to create, but a little time consuming. It takes a few steps to get the depth and uniqueness. If you have 40 mins to spare, curl up in front of your laptop and wach your favorite movie, and create this fab mani yourself!! Thanks for reading!! xo
