Hi loves π I recently made a HUGE Avon order, so I thought I’d review a few of the products I purchased for you. First up is the Avon Eyeshadow Duet in “Black Violet”.
The Eyeshadow Duet is a cream eyeshadow stick combo. Avon had many other colors to chose from, including a nude duet and a khaki/green duet. The eyeshadow is fairly pigmented as you can see from my swatch.
Unfortunately, I do not reccomend this product. It was very hard to work with. Many cream eyeshadows I’ve tried have been “wet” during the application process but dry a few minutes later. This product never dried! I tried applying eyeshadow over it to set it, but the eyeshadow became clumped and impossible to blend. It took me ages to get this very simple look, and lasted for less than 2 hours before creasing! It was a mess. I was quite surprised by the poor quality of this product; Avon usually has excellent makeup! I love their Glimmerstick waterproof eyeliners and their Glazewear lipglosses. If you have never tried Avon makeup before, you are missing out!! Just don’t buy this product.
