Hi everyone!Β ThisΒ was my first attempt at creating an image on my nails using nail polish (and not a sticker).Β I’m pretty satisfied with how it turned out!!
I started with a blue base coat, then drew the hearts with a medium size dotting tool.Β I drew a white shilouette of the ducks’ bodies before before going over it in yellow, to ensure the yellow would be vibrant:
OnceΒ the yellow dried, I simply added gold wings, orange beaks and finally black dots for the eyes.
The look did take a relatively long time to dry because of the multiple coats used.Β However I think it was worth the wait!!Β Here are theΒ nail polishesΒ I used:
From left to right: Avon Nailwear Pro in “Lagoon”, Orly French Tips in “White Tips”, Sally Hansen Salon Effects in “Burnt Sienna”, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in “Mellow Yellow”, LA Colors in “Circuits”, Essie in “Meet me at Sunset”, and Essie topcoat in “No Chips Ahead”.
